USB 2.0 speed

I just bought my ipod today along with a USB 2.0/Firewire connector.

Installed the 2.0.1 firmware (version was verified in "about" section).

When I synced my MMJB library with the ipod for the very first time it took 30 minutes to transfer 10gb.

Is this normal for USB 2.0 or should it be much faster.

I did check my USB device manager and a 2.0 driver is installed.

BTW the ipod works like a charm, blows away my Nomad Muvo 64mb player.

30 minutes is about right using MMJB. That's equivalent to what you would expect w/firewire. So I'd say they are equal.

You might get faster speeds using a different program (MC9, Xplay, ephpod)
