Large Problem Reformatting HELP

I recently bought a 10gb ipod that has a scroll wheel (so it is one of the older ones). It came formatted for a Mac, so I went to update it with 1.2.6 for Win but when I did it froze after the formatting. I looked around and found out this is a problem with these Ipod's, so my question is... How can I format it to a win version now since i cant find any 1.2 or earlier software around? please help me, i would love to get this thing working. By the way, I tried formatting with winniepod 1.3 and that did the same thing.

When does it freeze? Did you connect it to a power source after it says to disconnect it from the PC?ashawley at 2007-11-15 17:06:40 >

it froze after the entire restore was done the first time and now it freezes when the restore proccess wants me to unplug it from the computer so that it can flash. I read on the apple site that this happens to scroll wheel ipods when you go from mac to win with the 1.2.6 update, so the question is, are there any people out there that have the original win software or know how to do this for the scroll wheel ipods?pinballwizard51 at 2007-11-15 17:07:43 >
