I got my new Pod and I'm using Ephpod with it, well my first couple song skip at song 4 10 12 then the rest of the mp3's are fine why does it do this? The Mp3 will play then for a Min. then skip in the next track is my Pod messed up? I just got it and that would suck. Well if anybody knows let me hear about it!

Your mp3s may be corrupt. Use a program like Ashampoo to clean it up. Shrink your sig.

I found out that this is happening to alot of iPod owners! I called Apple and the tech told me this..." The new update will fit it, or the next!" I felt like drop kicking my phone after hearing that! This is sicking because I had a Pod that work great and sold it to get the new one, boy that was a mistake!:(

Are you using VBR to encode? I notice that when using MC9 to encode as VBR, the ends of songs that have sound right up to the end of the file get clipped.

If you haven't tried a full restore, you might want to. This solved a similar issue I was having with some songs ending early and playing silence for the rest of the track. A restore solved this.

One detail: I had to uncheck "enable disk mode" when doing the restore or I kept getting a "can't mount iPod" message at the end of the restore. After unchecking the box, the restore finished normally. I then re-checked this box after the restore was done.
