I dont have a FireWire port.

I just got my ipod and my computer has no firewire port. What is it exactly I should buy to convert it? Name of it? Thanks in advance.

Just a fiwerwire PCI card. I got mine for $20. Also known as IE1344 (i think). Just go to any eletrical store (compUSA, Best Nuy or similar stores), and ask for it.

Have Fun

Some firewire cards work better than others--adaptec tends to be the favorite here...

Don't forget, for WinPods USB 2.0 will also soon be an option. Since this guy doesn't have a FireWire port, I'm assuming his computer is not a Mac?

USB 2.0 for the iPod is already an option... The cables shipped a bit ago...

Go to a store, and ask them for either an IEEE 1394 card, a I-Link card, or a Firewire card... (they are all the same but with different names)

If you want a simple card that works fine, and can charge, get a cheap one from the company Dazzle... It is a popular brand, and it is easy to setup.
