Here is the funny thing about USB. The firmware hasn't been release that allows for USB support (officially). I'm sure Ephpod will work with USB. However, without the new iPod firmware for USB support you will not be able to transfer music to your iPod until the new firmware is released. It is currently stated to be supplied in June and since it is June 18th already, they may or may not get it done.

I must disagree. I've gotten my ipod yesterday with the USB 2.0 cables and you can transfer music using ephpod with either usb 1.0 or 2.0. Although my ipod is having porblems when I click on update firmware on ephpod. It says that it cannot detect my ipod although I am able to transfer music. Maybe it's the USB? Anyhow don't worry about any USB issues as it does work. Btw I have firmware 2.0 (out of box).

I agree with Vixus.

I have a 3rg gen. 10gb iPod and just bought the USB cable. It works perfectly with Ephpod using a USB 1.1 connection.

Though I think you should be careful with Ephpod and the new 3rd gen. iPods. I initally tried to use Ephpod with the new iPod and a firewire cardbus and had lots of problems. I tried different cards to no avail. Eventually I tried MMJB just for kicks and it works perfectly!

I am trying to get the database that I have on my iPod onto my new computer and I can't seem to figure out how to do it in ephpod. I am getting annoyed.....

Can someone please explain it to me in its simplest form?

Thx

I was wondering if any of you guys have tried using the new USB 2.0 cable with music match? Cause I was wonderign if music match will recognize the Ipod through USB and if it will let me sync my library?
