Songs from iPod to Computer

Is there any way i can take songs from my windows iPod and put them in the MusicMatch Library? I have songs on it that i need to get off of it, so i can transfer it to my computer at my house. I downloaded songs at my grandmas and put them on the iPod now i want them on my computer to save downloading them. Is there anything i can do?

Yeah, you can do this. It's a little tricky w/MMJB because it doesn't allow for it natively. Programs like Xplay, MC9 and ephpod all allow for doing this from right w/in the program. But here goes in MMJB:

1. Get a good tagging program. I like www.id3-tagit.de (click on the British flag for the english version), it's free.

2. Connect your iPod, open My Computer, open the iPod Drive. If you don't see it, enable firewire disk mode in iPod Manager and in MMJB

3. On the iPod in My Computer you'll see a folder called "ipod_control". If you don't see it, enable viewing of hidden files under Tools>Folder Options. The setting is on the View tab.

4. Open the ipod_control folder, copy the Music folder someplace onto your PC.

5. Open up id3-tagit or your favorite tagging program. Navigate to the Music folder you copied. It will have 20 folders in it, F00-F19. What you're going to do in your tagging program is use it's "Rename Files From Tags" feature. This will rename the files into Artist/Album sub-directories and rename the files according to the naming convention you select (like Artist - Album - Track# - Title.mp3). Do that for all the files in each folder. You can select multiple files and it will do them all at once. When your done the songs will be organized and renamed nicely for you.
