when can one expect powerbook g5s?

There was an article in one of the UK Mac magazines explaining why this was unlikely in the near term - to do with heat etc.

This seems crazy, since Apple's best small laptop is now a consumer iBook rather than a pro Powerbook. Yes the 900 MHz 40 GB iBook has a G3 chip, while the 867 MHz 40 GB PB has a G4, but the iBook dual boots and enjoys other advantages. We need a G5 powerbook in order to force Apple to make the G4 dual boot, as it has done with desk-top G4s since the G5 came out.
