I would have bought a Mac now that EQ is out for it, but I can't part with my Level 62 Necromancer.

I wish I could come over and kick your little wush Barbarian around Norath. :(

Now why would you want to kick my poor newbie butt, SouthsideIrish? I'm just learning!

I've played a couple of other characters: my first was a wood elf bard who kept committing suicide running off the treehouses in Faydark while I learned to navigate (ugh) and a then a kitty shaman with Safe Fall. :) I'm still questing my kitty around and getting motion sick from the jerky graphics in Luclin.

Cause necromancers are extremely evil and love kicking the little folks around. Got to play in character right. In real life I wouldn't but this is EQ and barbs hate necro's and necro's hate barbs.

I once refused to summon the corpse of the leader of a barbarian guild just because the despise necro's. I figured, why should I summon the corpse of summon when I'm not even good enough to be in her guild, and especially when the guild is roleplaying. I told that I hoped her corpse rotted. Yes, I'm not nice, when it come to playing my character.

Oh, and the Kitty questing is not very fun, is it. I got so tired of it that I had to kill the character. And for the most part all I play is my necro anyway.

The faction issue is a pain. I'm not sure I could play an evil character. I'm just too nice by nature.

The Mac server seems to be pretty consistent, though. I've been pretty impressed with the game and the overall quality. Mind you, I've never played EQ at all until I got a copy when it came out for Mac.

Lots of folks want to see their PC characters deposited in the Mac realm, but I suspect there would be too many frustrated newbies if they let the power players in.

Actually there are benefits to having a totally new server, since you don't have a bunch of 60's like me messing things up. No way to power level, so all of you are playing on equal ground. When the kitties and froggies came out there was a race to see who could get the first toon to 60. Only took a couple of days.

And playing an evil character can be fun.

I'm not sure we have froggies on the Mac server. In fact, I'm pretty sure we don't yet.

People have leveled up pretty quickly since it went live on June 30, but I think they've released copies in waves to keep the playing field moderately even. Some folks are incredibly kind and helpful to their brethren. Others are just plain mean and nasty, even if they're playing a nice character. Takes all kinds, I spose.

I like the Barbarian Beastlord the best of everything I've played thus far, but I'm toying with the idea of creating a Wizard.

I've got a barbarian warrior and they are mindless fun, and a half elf bard which is a lot of work. Nowadays the best characters are the ones that can solo, necro's, beastlords, mages, and clerics who always can get into a group. If you want a fighter than go with a shadowknight or pally since they are the best high level fighters around, and most people will take one of those before they will take a warrior. Wizzies are a really powerful grouping character but expect to die a lot in the early level, but it will be easy for you to level one on the Mac server, then it would be for me to level one.

So, you don't have Froglok's? Guess the Trolls still have their home then? Well, I bet they will be losing it by Christmas, or the first part of the New Year.
