Brasso is great!
I know it's been discussed before (thanks to search), but for those who are new to the problem. I fumbled (not dropped) my iPod and bounced it off my keyboard last night. Turned it over to discover two noticeable scratches on the clear screen and one light one, would not rub off. Broke my heart to look at it all day at work as it played it's little heart out. After reading the old forum, I tried Brasso. I tried it first on a few cordless phone screens, seemed to work fine. So I used a cotton ball and a little Brasso and carefully and patiently rubbed the iPod screen for about 20 seconds. Cleaned it up and buffed with an old eyeglass cloth, and it looks new again, can't see the scratches at all. THANK GOODNESS. Brasso does leave tiny, tiny lines (that you can only see in bright light at the right angle) and I will probably try now to find some sort of jewelers polish to restore it completely, but Brasso was a great first step. I'm going to Staples on the way to work tomorrow to buy some PDA screen protectors, ain't going to let it happen again (boy the iPod is fragile, but you still gotta love it)...
