where my remote control cord connects to the thingy with the jacks which plugs into the ipod is coming undone.

the plastic wrap got pulled out so the colored wires underneath are exposed. probably from tugging on the cord to disconnect one too many tmes. it gets worse as i pull the jacks out to sych.

i can't seem to cram the end of the cord back inside - anyone have this problem and a suggested fix?
