Lock in disk mode

I'musing a 30Gb ipod. I bought it two weeks ago and using with Xplay on a pc. Snce Xplay installed the last update on it , my ipod is locked on disk mode i tried to update, restore (with xplay and with apple soft) and even tried to format it with win XP. NOTHIN' TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE i really need help. i don't know what to do. thanks. Morax

What do you mean locked in disk mode? Do you mean that you have the Disk Scanning indicator showing and that you can't get rid of it?

I take it you've tried a Reset? Make sure you do it while connected to a power supply.

i mean by disk mode that my ipod is only recgnized as a firewire disc and it only acts as a firewire disc (the player doesn't work anymore). i hope you can help me. thanks. DJ Morax
