Crevice between chrome and front plate?

Since I received my 30 GB iPod, there has been a small crevice on the right side of it. It is a little ridge that I can run my fingers over and feel. Also, if I look at it from above, I can see a little space between the faceplate and chrome.

I need help... will Apple service this? If not, how can I fix it?

is it possible to push the two parts together to close the ridge?

Is this the gap at the bottom right of the unit? I noticed this on all 3 15 iPod's I've gone through so far. I know think those gaps are to make opening the unit easier when they need to be serviced.

I recently spoke to apple as I had a similar issue. I have had my new 30gb ipod for a month. I have only used it with the carrying case that comes with it. The other day I took it out of the case after a journey and saw that the left side seemed to have separated slightly from the front. I imagine that it is somethign to do with how u r supposed to open it (or a technician is) if u need to. I managed to 'pop' it back closed but I wanted to check w apple. They said that it is completely covered by the warranty so I'm not too worried. Basically, If it happens again I will get a replacement but it seems ok at the mo. The guy I spoke to said u really shouldn't be able to unclip it like that... so it is a fault if it happens easily.

Funny thing is, I accidentally dropped my iPod. When I picked it up, it had no scratches or dents, but the crevice was fixed. :)
