MP3s Programs/Websites Needed!

Hello all.

I had to recently reconfigure (is that the right word?) my hard drive, and I lost a little over 1000's mp3's that I had.

I own over 400 cd's, and I often buy cd's, however I had mp3's of artists who I would not want to own an entire album worth of material from.

I had previously downloaded all my songs off of IMESH and a few off Kazaa. Now when I newly downloaded IMESH, it is very buggy to the point where I can't use it, and Kazaa is infested with bogus files.

My question is, does anyone recommend websites/online programs that I can use do re-download all the music I have lost??? Your recommendations are greatly appreciated! And no, the recent lawsuits will not stop me from downloading free music.

P.S anyone know about this site, and any programs they might recommend from it?

Don't steal music! Okay, in one and out the other. You can try IRC.

Well I cannot say that I've never downloaded music yet via p2p programs but I've truly always bought the albums whenever I liked the music, hence why I have ca. 350 cds [which isn't that much by a long shot, but considerable in my eyes].

My number one music artist Sarah McLachlan even stated following about the price of her yet to be released album [4th of November 2003]:

Afterglow will sell at a special rate of $15.99 or lower, to reflect McLachlan's wishes that music remain affordable for fans, he added."

Things to try: BitTorrent, WinMX, IRC, FTPs [maybe not so easy to get the correct FTPs/login info etc but ok you have to know where to look], NewsGroups...

Download songs to listen but always buy the album if you like what you hear!!

Give it a few weeks and you will be able to purchase most of those songs on one of the three new services to hit the market on the PC, ITunes, Dell and Musicmatch legally.
