no it never whent through. ebay took it down as it went against their policies. as they said there was no way of getting the song to the buyer. as cdrs etc are not allowed. apple just commented that it was too inconvenient to sell iTunes songs.

Too inconvenient? Coordinating the resale of digital music files sounds like an interesting business venture to me. Is there any way to certify that the file someone sells was obtained legally? The right of first sale protects the consumer and enables each of us to unload music we no longer care to own. Why should any unused music file sit on my hard drive hogging free space when someone else out there would actually enjoy it!? Further, will this new apparant work-around create yet another online community where people exchange files for next to nothing as opposed to p2p free filestealing? What would the RIAA do about that?

The price is still too high if people are even considering reselling downloaded music. The level should be so low as to make music disposable.
