IPOD accessories

Can the firewire cable, remote, and AC adapter from a 3g ipod work with a 1g or 2g ipod. I know the earbuds are interchangable and the dock is exclusive to the 3g. TIA

the cable can't be used because of the new dock connector, and the remote can't be used because the remote connection is defferent, and i don't know about the adapter, if the old one works the same way the new one does(having a firewire port on it) then you might be able to use the adapter, but the cable is still different though.most of that stuff comes with the 10GB model, and all of it come with the 20GB and 40GB models, so unless you were looking at the 10GB model, or you wanted to keep your old stuff around for extra parts, you don't need to worry about that.

The 3G FireWire cable is for 3G iPods and dock only.The 3G remote is for 3G iPods only.
The 3G power adapter can be used with all iPods. Use a standard FireWire cable for 1G and 2G iPods. Use 3G FireWire cable for 3G iPods.
3G: All items; FireWire cable, remote, dock, case, and power adapter come with 15, 20, 30 and 40GB iPods. The 3G 10GB iPod does not come with remote and dock.
