What happened to the supposed launch of two new peripherals for iPod? I thought some big announcement was scheduled for the 16th in Paris. What's up?

Yup, and if Apple doesn't live up to the rumors, people throw fits. Some people have to realize that Apple isn't able to pull miracles every keynote.

Give it another few weeks. There are rumors, and then there are carefully seeded announcements to gauge people's interest. We're all guinea pigs around here, don't you just love it?:D

Looking at the agenda for the expo, the likely date for the announcement is today, the last day of the expo.so it cld still happen..and the guinea pigs can oink away to ipod heaven!

I don't understand how they can supposedly put out new peripherals yet still not have a decent in-car charger out?? I would love a relatively slim sled-type device with a directional microphone (Including the Apple-patented ambient noise-reduction design/algorithms featured in the iSight). I think the iPod could be great for recording lectures. Perhaps the sled-ish device could pack in an extra battery as well.
