Interestingly enough, on the Apple Store website, they show the iTrip (for 3G iPods) shipping within 1-2 days. Griffin has not updated their site yet. Wonder how true it is to shipping soon.bigman606 at 2007-11-15 16:09:11 >

A bunch of people have been emailing me, asking this.
I posted the story on the ebay page. It says:
"Some people have emailed me asking how I have an iTrip for
a 3G iPod if it hasn't been relased yet. I have the iTrip
in my possesion, here is the story: I pre-ordered the iTrip
for my 3G iPod a long time ago. I finally got tired of
waiting and decided to get a new car stereo and just connect
my iPod to it directly. I emailed and canceled my order for
the iTrip. Griffin Technology emailed back and said "if we
ship out the iTrip today, do you want to keep the order"?
I said ok, and they shipped it to me. The new car stereo
arrived, and I really like it, so I decided to keep that
and sell the iTrip. The 3G iTrip has not technically been
released yet, but the box was shrink wrapped and brand new.
I opened it and tried it out and it works fine. I don't know
why the manufacturer has not released it yet."
When I got it, it looked like the product was release-ready
(sealed in brand new box, worked fine), so I don't know
why the manufacturer is not releasing it yet. Maybe they
just don't have enought made yet. Maybe they can get away
with sending one to me by calling it a beta-release or
something (although they didn't call what they sent me a
beta) rather than lose business when people want to cancel
their orders.
I can't really say, but the iTrip I have definitely works
with the 3G iPod and is a nice product. Thanks,

Hi I am new to this forum. Great stuff that I read so far. I too have been very interested in this iTrip for my new Ipod, so I e-mailed Griffintechnology, and this was the response I got:The iTrip is scheduled to begin shipping in late September.
Our standard protocol for shipping the iTrip will be to send out the oldest pre-orders first. The expediency to which we can get to your order will depend upon when the order was received and the availability of our inventory. Please be patient with us as there are many orders to fill. Given the amount of pre-orders, we are hoping to be caught up with them within about three weeks after we begin shipping. As Bigman said, a few days back, Apple posted a 1-2 ship time for the new itrip. I ordered one, just to see if that was actually true. Today, I recieved this email:Due to an unexpected supply delay, we are unable to ship the following item(s) by the date that you were originally quoted:
T7194LL/A, GRIFFIN ITRIP FOR NEW IPOD-USA
will now ship on or before 10/10/2003
Please note that product availability can change rapidly, and it is

all the ipod accessories seem to be pre set to release "sometime in lade september" Why do they all do this?? want a decent case? (haven't checked lately) too bad cause the iskin's aren't in stock. Want a car charger other than the belkin one?? too bad they aren't being shipped yet. Same with the itrip and various other thing. I was on the griffin site and noticed that the LED on the new iTrip was red. I know that on the old version the LED was blue. I remember seeing the new version with a blue LED on their site earlier. Maybe that's why it was delayed-apple wanted it to match the red of the buttons. Hope this means its coming out soon-I've been holding out getting a new iPod till the new iTrip comes out!!!!ablao at 2007-11-15 16:16:14 >

I work for a computer company, and one of my vendors that we use carries or will carry the new iTrip and they are being told to expect stock by Oct 10th. Which is in like 2 weeks. So who knows. I hope the apple store gets them sooner.parisi2274 at 2007-11-15 16:17:23 >
