iTrip plug not long enough-can I extend jack?

I have an iTrip transmitter and an iSee case. Both work fine but they are mutually exclusive.

When the iPod is in the case, the thickness of the case prevents the iTrip from being able to plug in deeply enough to turn itself on.

Is there an adapter I can buy that will act as a bridge between the iPod earphone jack and the iTrip?

The friendly gent at Radio Shack said they do not sell any adapters that have all three bands the iTrip is looking for, i.e., left sound, right sound, and power. The adapters they do sell only link mono to stereo or stereo to mono or other permutations of these; they had no adapters dealing with the transmission of power. :(

Any help? thnx

You can take some of the plastic away from the case.

A thread about this with some pictures I posted. ( http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=86)

The photos were very helpful. I was picturing a lot more material removed--almost the whole top of the case.

Thanks for your help!
