Auxillary Input Level

I just installed a Becker head unit in my car which gives me the ability to play my iPod through an auxillary input. I've noticed that I have to turn the volume of the iPod up almost all the way in order to match the volume level of the radio and CD player. Is this what everyone else is experiencing or is it something that's inherent in the Becker?

No, thats the way all headphone out jacks are. The ipod's headphone jack is meant to power headphones, not be connected to a headunit.

You should consider getting the belkin autokit, or using your dock in the car, you will experience much better sound quality if you use the line out port

I guess I don't have that option because mine is a second generation iPod. Thanks for the input.

You could buy a headphone amplifier. It would go inbetween the IPOD and the headunit.
