Burton/Apple Amp Pack??

I remember back in April there being news about this backpack, even a picture of the thing...does anyone know if its ever going to be released?Amp pack (http://www.ipodlounge.com/assets/images/productshots/amppack.jpg)

That's a good question. I don't know... April was also when the new 3G iPods were released, maybe the different remote connector forced the introduction of the backpack to be delayed. But it shouldn't take that long to redesign the remote connector. Maybe the whole product itself was canned before it had a chance to make it to the market.

I dont understand why they would can the backpack and not the $500 jacket......does anyone know of any other backpacks suited for carrying an ipod?

Most backpacks and messenger bags have a pocket perfect for carrying an iPod. And instead of the SoftSwitch controls, I just clip the remote to the strap. It works great for my Timbuk2 bag.

I wanted one of these too, if it was $100US I think I would have bought it, $200US is just way too steep. I think I can handle using my wired remote, but if somone knows of another backpack that looks good and accomodates the iPod I would be interested. I don't need no touch sensitive buttons on it :)
