iTrip channel "changing" noise

I love my iTrip. But there is one annoying aspect that I wonder if anyone has fixed.

The channel-changing options--the various channels--are stored on the iPod as "songs" on a "playlist." When I have the iPod on "shuffle" or random-play of songs, every now and then the "channels" on the iTrip playlist "play" by beeping a few times. The channel doesn't change, but my musical trip is interupted by the obnoxious noise.

Is there a fix, other than more high-end hearing loss??

create a playlist of everything except the itrip stations and then just shuffle on that playlist

I've got the same problem. I created a playlist containing all of my songs without the itrip frequencies but how do I now shuffle this playlist? When I go to the Shuffle option it only lists Songs and Albums, not playlists.

Thanks.

Disregard. I figured it out.

For those who haven't, if you have songs set to shuffle and click "play" (not center enter button) when your playlist is highlighted, it will shuffle that playlist.

Yup...that's the way!
Also.....I trashed almost all of the other stations because I only really use 2.
If I ever bring it on a road trip I'll just put the other stations back.
