belkin battery pack
does anyone know if the belkin battery pack for 3g ipods is any good? Does it charge the internal battery or just provide external power?
I am thinking of getting one when they get released in the UK, although I hope they drop the price a bit, $70 is an insane for what it is.

Please help!!
Does the Belkin battery pack work with the older ipods? I have a 20 gb ipod and was going to buy the belkin pack but then I noticed it said for ipods with dock? Is that what the new ipods have or is it where the fire wire plugs in? If it is just for new ipods is ther one for old ipods?
thanks,

The Belkin battery backup works for the 3rd Gen iPods only. 3G iPods have what's called a "Dock Connector" on the bottom that allows the Belkin backup to induce battery power. The battery backup does not charge the iPod though.
I've had mine for a couple of months now, it works great!

If you hunt around, there's a thread floating around here where someone made their own battery pack for Gen 2.....
