Sony Auxiliary Input Adapter
Hi All,
First off, bought a 15GB iPod on Saturday and am going nuts over it.
I have been researching my original question (iPod to Sony CDX-C5000X Stereo) and have found that I need to order a proprietary adapter manufactured by Sony (of course). I have found two on Crutchfield: XA-C30 and XA-300. They are both priced the same, but the XA-300 looks a little more versatile, plus it doesn't look like I need to hook into any add'l power source.
Before I pick one, I thought I would see if anybody had any experience with either of these.
Also if I were to install one in my Dodge Caravan what would be the best spot?
Lookin' for some input...Bueller...Bueller...anybody...

whats up. I just did the same thing only with my pioneer head unit. I bough 1 of the 2 available adapter cords that make a line input. With my adapter came a phamphlet that stated the differences between the two and what their purpose was. They both worked the same, except one was used for something slightly different (or could be) either way, all i did was call crutchfield and tell them my model of my head unit and they picked out the right cord for me, and were very friendly about it. Just call them, make sure you tell them what your using it for and you should be good to go! as far as where to put your ipod in the caravan..i gotta figure out where to put it in my car first!!

I actually just ordered the XA-300 from Crutchfield (I got it scratch and dent for $85). Hopefully I will be getting it on Monday but definatley next week. I will let you know what I think of it when it comes.

I started a new thread called "final word..." It details the results with the XA-300.
Still gotta do a "permanent" install though.
