iTrip too bassy

I'm getting great reception on my iTrip but the bass is coming thru very strongly. Far more than thru my headset.
Any ideas?

Maybe tweak the EQ on the ipod and lower the bass. Just a thought, I dont own an itrip.

Yeah, you may have your iPod EQed to compensate for low-bass headphones, and then it sounds bad hooked up to your stereo. You may also have the bass to high on your stereo; check that too.

Try the eq's that reduce bass... Bass reducer, or treble booster... Also, try the hall, or piano ones... Like mattwardfh said, check the stereo...

btw, mattwarddfh, a friend of mine has the name Matt Ward... (without the fh)... in case you wanted to know...

the eq on the ipod is very poor, makes little difference. I find that the bass is only a problem with the itrip when it is too loud on the ipod. If you have it as low as possible (around 40%) and then turn up the volume on your receiver you should be okay.

I'd wondered about this and stepped it down a little, but I'm not sure I went as low as 40%, I'll give it a go.

Thanks!
