Impressions of iTrip

Well, I received my itrip on Monday 6/16/03 and gave it a good work out on tuesday. I had to go from Westminster, MD (35 mile NW of Baltimore) to Greensboro, NC with a stop in Falls Church, VA.

I started out at home and set the my radio and the iTrip to 87.9. The reception was great, no static and very clear. It did well on 87.9 even as I went I270 to the Capital Beltway and to Falls Church.

Later that day, I had to change to 88.1 around Richmond, and it held all the way to Greensboro with no static, hiss or anything else.

On the way back I set it to 87.9 again and made it from Greensboro to Centreville, VA without having to change stations, again with no hiss, static, etc. and this was through several heavy thunderstorms and rain.

All in all, I am very impressed with it's performance. Next week I will try it around the Baltimore area and see how it performs.

Sweet! I am getting mine tomorrow from CSC toronto.
My iPod is off for repair so I wont be able to give my input till wen/thurs. Just in case you were wondering, the problem with my ipod was when I would plug in my remote, it would reset. They sent me a brand spanking new remote, still the same problem.

rml612, what kind of car do you have? I always wonder if the performance differs for people who have radio antennas on their trunk instead of in the front.

I have a 2001 Audi A6 with a Bose Sound system. The antenna is mounted in the rear window.
