AC Adapter safe?

Has anyone left their iPod AC adapter plugged in for extended periods (months or more)?

I just got a second cable, and I've connected the ac adapter into the dock intending to leave it always plugged in. It seems like safety is not a problem for most AC adapters, but the iPod's gets much warmer than most that are the same size.

If you mean leaving the charger permanently plugged into the mains even if there is no iPod connected, then yes I leave mine connected 24/7. It only gets warm while it is actually charging - there is a faint amount of warmth coming of it just now with nothing being charged, but it is hardly detectable.
My iBook AC charger gets quite hot most of the time as it is always hooked up to the iBook - its what they are meant to do after all.

Since the topic is similar, I thought I would ask my question here. If I leave my ipod plugged into the AC adapter, will it be ok to be left plugged in for long periods of time? (In other words will the ipod stop charging once it has reached its limit and be ok being plugged in still?) Thanks

yes, it stops charging when it has reached its limit.
The iPod itself says "Charged" on it when its finished, and the four bars of the battery picture are solid and not flashing.
