iTrip makes high pitched ringing sound
I just got the iTrip and tuned it to the default 87.9 Everything sounds good except on the stereo in my 2000 Toyota Tundra there is a high pitched ringing which is really annoying.
I've tried my iPod with the iTrip on other vehicles stereos and I don't get the ringin (as badly)
Are there any tips on getting rid of this? Anyone else have this experience? Disconnect the attenna?

I just got mine today and I'm getting the high pitched sound also.
Tried different freq's, different volumes, engine not running. Have a '02 Sierra Denali.
This is an irritating sound.

I too have found this, but in my case I have found a frequency which it is only minor and I personally don't notice it unless I am listening for it. You could also play with the volume settings on your iPod and car. I found that I needed to turn down the volume on my iPod and up it on my car. I also don't seem to get it at all when the car is just idling on some frequencies. I am sure it has something to do with interference from the engine. Good luck

i turned the ipod volume down and the stereo volume up to help fight the ringing. now i only notice it when the music is stopped.
location of the itrip seems to make a difference too. the ringing is worse as the itrip gets closer to the stereo in the dash.

I just got my iTrip today and tried it out for the first time. I, too, can here the high pitch noise. Like MickM, I turned down the iPod volume and turn up the car stereo volume to lower the ringing noise and I can only hear it during song skips. Also, why is it that when I drive through certain locations, my signal gets staticy?
