screen protectors
Hi I need some screen protection for my ipod cause it's gettin' all scratched up and its brand new so does anybody know where I could get some either PDA screen protectors (write wrights) or just some general screen protectors for The UK because best buy won't ship here and I dont really like the sound of "saran wrap".

Any office supply store should have PDA screen protectors...

anxious_moose,
Staples and PC World stock PDA screen protectors (Fellowes Write Right) at about 15 quid for a pack. I use them front and back for my 5gb iPod and they do the job just fine.

Sorry To bother but does it matter which size you buy, I mean for which PDA model?

Not really, just make sure it's bigger than the iPod screen so you can cut it to size.

hey... i noticed some minor scratches on my ipod this weekend and i went to Staples and bought some PDA screen protectors. Took awhile to cut them to shape, especially around the scrollwheel, but it's probably worth it in the long run. Least I don't have to worry about scratches anymore. :o)

Time2switch, you said that you bought some screen protectors for your ipod and that they fitted all the way down to the scroll wheel so what PDA were they for because all of the screen protectors I've found only fit over the screen not the scroll wheel aswell thanks.

Yea, saran wrap is kinda ghetto. Don't bother with screen protectors, I tried two kinds and both didn't fulfill my expectations (and I don't have high expectations). They make the screen look grainy, they are expensive, they don't stick etc...
I use shipping masking tape (clear). It provides fantastic protection, and you cannot tell it is there. Also it leaves no residue after long periods of time.

if you want a pda screen protector that sticks, try Belkin. That sticks really well, to the point where i got scared that it might leave a residue. For the back of my iPod it seemed to have left a line residue where the top and bottom of the pda cover i placed on the back met. It seems to have like left a residue line going horizontally across the back, kind like a clean line. I'm sure its removable since i cleaned it a bit and most of it was gone
