Did I order the wrong itrip?
I just bought this off the apple online store:
Griffin iTrip - FM Transmitter for iPod Part T6881LL/A
I have an ipod 10 gig (newest model). Just bought if off amazon.com and it should come this coming week.
Is this the right itrip?

itrips dont fit new ipods properly...the firewire port thing blocks it from laying flat. i think they are remaking the itrip for the new ones now.

does the old one use the firewire port, or is it just to keep the iTrip in place? If it doesn't use the port, then wouldn't it work with the new one without rewiring the whole thing?
