My impressions of iCleaner for scratched iPods
I tried my best to keep it from getting them but simply placing it on my desk casued scratches on the metal backing and some how I sumdged/scratched the front plastic window.
And before anyone gets their shorts in a bind I know that's just a scratch and they will happen now and in the future, but I ordered a bottle of iCleaner ( http://ipodcleaner.com/ ) anway.
found me a small terry cloth towel and applied a small amount if the scratch remover as directed. I started on the metal backing...I rubbed and rubbed...applied 1..2..3..6...7...10+ applications for about 1 hour, no difference. I tried rubbing hard for a while then when my fingers cramped I went with soft motion, no difference. I got fed up and decided to work on the front window. this is where this cleaner does a good job. it took about 3 or 4 applications, sometimes rubbing hard and others not, about 30 min time my screen was renewed...no hazing or swril marks, nice.
I went back to applying the elbow greese to the metal back another hour there...no difference, although it did clear off my finger prints (WHO CARES!?)
so I will keep trying, but I have to say if you are going to get iCleaner it better be just for the front plastic part of the iPod. I may try some Brasso for the back...does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
