I've just put MacDrive 5.0.1 on my Dell with USB2.0 / XP Pro and NOTHING HAPPENS... I installed it on my dell at work with USB1.0 and Win2000 and it works fine...Any suggestions?

I'm sorry, what should be happening? Do you see the iPod as a drive in My Computer? Can you access it? Isn't that what is supposed to be happening?

If you have MMJB or iPod Manager installed, make sure you have the option to enable firewire disk mode checked. Those programs disable windows ability to assign a drive letter (unless this option is checked)

I'm not using Firewire...i'm using USB2.0...When i plug the ipod in, nothing shows up in My Computer. I uninstalled MMJB because i sync up my music with I-tunes at work...with my home CPU, i just want to use my ipod as an external drive. Should I install ipod manager?

Thanks for your help!...my wife is killing me and saying "this ipod thing dosen't work!"

So, you don't have MMJB installed? When you uninstalled MMJB did you make sure to uninstall the MMJB iPod Plugin first? That would only apply if you ever had the Apple iPod version of MMJB installed in the first place.

So, try that...
