Problem with editing tags on my iPod
I decided to give Media Center a try. Everything looked great until I tried to edit some of the tags and names of my music on my iPod. For some reason everytime I renamed a field, say "album" or "title", it would never save the changes. Other then that everything worked fine, I could upload songs to my iPod. Any ideas?

Welcome to the lounge!
Two quick questions, and then hopefully me or someone else can give you a little help: which build of MC9 are you using? This was a problem on one of the older builds.
How are you changing the field entries--what screen are you using to do this, and exactly what steps are you using?

I am using whatever build that you download as a trial from Media Center's website (I downloaded it last night). To rename a tag I am right clicking on the field I want to change and going to rename. When I hit enter or click off, it doesn't save. I am doing this in the iPod view window in the veiw all or view artists mode. It doesn't happen all the time but then when I click off or hit enter the renamed tag sometimes does not save, it just goes back to whatever it was before. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

Ok, don't bother editing using the ipod view--it won't (or shouldn't) work.
I personally do all my editing off my playlists--that should work fine, other people use the right menu (I believe that's Adam's method of choice), or you can expand "Media Library" on the left hand tree, open "audio", and then open anyone of the subheadings (artist/album, etc), and change stuff there. This should work for you--post back if any problems...

Right, I use Media Libary view, but it will work in any view (except the iPod View).
Once you've made the changes, to get them to your iPod, just resync and make sure you check the "Update Tags" option. You should just always leave this option checked.
The good thing is, it won't re-upload the song, it'll just change the tag info on the iPod.
