A thought about Saving Libraries

A recent thread about Smartlists and using BPM & Intensity got me thinking...

Since I always Analyze audio after ripping it and a recent search of my library unconvered a the gross majority with no BPM or Intensity, I am wonderering...do you need to save the results of Analyzing Audio?

Why would my library have so many un-Analyzed tracks when I am so diligent in doing it?

I read MCHelp and I think I've done it correctly...No, I know I've done it correctly. So what gives?

Also, will the Replay Gain carry over to our iPods?

Have you ever (:shudders:) downloaded music? Or acquired it from some other method aside from ripping it in MC9?

That's the only way I can think of it happening. You don't have to save your changes, that happens automatically.

It is a good idea to back it up now and then though (File>Library>Backup Library). I do it now before each build since we've been into the iPod sync to PC business. Learned my lessongs on that one... ;)

Download? Me? Who Me? Never... How could I? ;)

But if I were to, and I'm not saying I have, I would follow the same process I use when ripping.

Rip, Convert Format, Analyze, Rename from File Properties. I just discovered that I have been Analyzing twice since I have the Rip setting to Analyze while ripping.
