Program similar to Moodlogic?

I just saw the link to try out MoodLogic on Ephpod's homepage, so I thought I'd give it a shot....
It installs fine and goes through and "activates" all 1007 of my MP3s... however, after that it just closes... and does nothing... I've tried opening it back up and it gives me an error saying "There is a problem with the Moodlogic data files. Moodlogic will now exit" and I can onl click the OK button.

I've tried reinstalling but to no avail.
Anyway, I was wondering if there are any programs out there that do basically the same thing that Moodlogic does... I searched the forum and found an older post about it and people said it wasn't that stable anyway, and the whole database is somewhat small and flaky... I'd like to try out something like this that actually works... and free if possible :)

Any suggestions?

If what you want is the ability to make smart playlists (i.e. criteria based playlists) then MC9 is what you want.

It's also the only app out there that supports the iPod's ratings, playcounts and Last Played date. So, your smartlists get updated with what you listen to on the iPod as well as what you listen to on your PC (though MC9).

Nope, not free. It's $40 and worth twice that IMO. It has a ton of other features:

Ripping (using LAME encoder)
tagging,
file management,
media server,
media editor,
image management
dvd playback

and the iPod capabilities can't be beat.
