Free days ending, need to pay....
Help!
I have 9 days left before my free trial ends.
I love MC 9 and how easy it works with my iPod, but I am a bit skittish (after all he problems I had in the past ) about paying/upgrading.
Will I have to uninstall 9.0 to get the current release?
Will I have to restore the iPod to use it?
Will I have to re-improt my music library?
Thanks so much,
Bob

1. You won't have to uninstall 9.0 to get the current release, you just install it over your existing version
2. If you're not using the current betas (9.1.252 and up) you will need to do a restore to take advantage of the new Ratings, Playcounts and Last Played sync features. But that shouldn't stop you, it's just an hour or so to sync.
3. Nope

Thanks Adam.
One more question before taking the plunge.
To restore do I need to use the apple software or can I do it in MC 9.1whatever-the-latest-is?

Both. You'll need to restore your ipod with the ipod updater, then when you go into MC9, intitialize for MC9.

Switching to MC 9, I removed all Apple/Ipod/MM software from my machine. To make this upgrade and do as you say,
"You'll need to restore your ipod with the ipod updater" do I need to go back to the ipod disk and put anything on my computer that I took off before?
Thanks again, you guys really are the cat's pajamas!

Well, that depends. Did you uninstall the iPod Updater? If you didn't, just go to Start>Programs>iPod>Updater and run that.
If you did, just download the 2.0.1 Updater (http://www.apple.com/ipod/download), install it and run it. It's a stand alone app and you should keep it installed.
