Is there ANY way to get an Ipod to work with Musicmatch 8.0?

Or do I have to wait and pray that they release a plugin for version 8.0?

A lot of us use MusicMatch 7.5 or 8 to supertag and organize mp3s and then transfer them to the ipod with the free ephPod (a very quick and painless process). It was the easiest way when I started out with the ipod and still seems to be the case. A lot of people seem to be very angry that MM8 isn't supporting ipod transfers well with version 8, but it never was the easiest way to go about transferring in the first place apparently, and most people giving advice in these forums advised against using MusicMatch or MediaJukebox to transfer in favor of ephPod anyway. Hope this helps!

I've got it to work by first installing 7.5 with the plugin. Then letting Musicmatch update itself. I've heard that some people cannot get that to work, so I am perhaps as lucky as one can be while using Musicmatch.

I havent used MMJ in a while, but I thought the whole problem was started when only people who have the new iPods could update to MMJ8, while people with older iPods were stuck with the old MMJ7x and werent allowed to update.

According to the plug-in's page of MMJB a IPOD plug-in is coming soon for both the "old" and new IPods. This may be good news for MMJB users as this seems to point to a complete rewrite of the plug-in. Hopefully transfer speeds will show a drastic improvement.
