EAC & LAME issues
Sorry if this is not the right spot for this post.
I downloaded EAC, and at one point it asked I specify, I believe, where LAME would be located. I didn't have LAME installed yet, and when I tried to pick a folder, an error came up. I then installed a cd at the EAC main screen and all seemed to work fine. Except I didn't click any icons, therefore I didn't really use EAC, and instead tried to install LAME.
I downloaded LAME, in a zip drive, and there was only one thing that seemed like an application. When I opened that, it was this quick black screen that dissapeared immediately. Clearly, I have no idea what I am doing with LAME. Any suggestions? I would really like to try out EAC & LAME to rip cd's and convert them to mp3's because right now, the sound quality of my 192 kbps, 100% VBR mp3 files ripped using MM are pretty garbage.

Try installing EAC/LAME from here:
http://drs.yahoo.com/S=96062885/K=chrismyden.com/v=2/SID=w/l=IE1/R=6/H=0/* http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/mydeneaclame.cfm
Follow the instructions to the letter, and you'll be fine.

Chris, thank you for the reply.
Before I do this, should I download LAME first? Also, when prompted to enter a LAME directory during EAC installation, what should I do?

Ok, if you go to the link I provided, all will be clear. I'd just remove whatever you've downloaded so far, I think it will be easier for you in the long run, and use the link above, it will walk you through all the steps.
