Custom Quality VBR Rate?

At the recorder tab in Music Match, you can select your file bitrates as you all likely know. Right below that, you can select the level of "Custom Quality VBR". I do not know what the default setting is for it, because I accidently moved it. But I wanted to know exactly how the vbr affects the sound quality of the songs ripped? What should I set the VBR at?

All replies are appreciated.

carlolove, a question like this was answered by myself previously, i hope you can find your answer there. Here is the link:

Thanks for the reply! However, I still am not sure what to set the vbr at. Right now I am ripping at 192 kpbs and 100% vbr, but I don't know if this is a good setting.

Hi Riceboi

I read your link regarding VBR. The question then is what's the difference between ripping at a constant bit rate of 192 and using the VBR at 60% of 320. The only thing I can think of is that it might save some space on portions of a song where the extra bits are not needed. Is there any difference in sound quality between the two options stated above (namely CBR of 192 or VBR of 60% of 320). Any light you can shed on this would be appreciated.
