oi! problems!

as I start up ephpod, I get the message "Cannot access drive A" and "cancel" "try again" and "continue"
and thus, I cannot add files to my ipod... I'm frustrated
I've removed ephpod and reinstalled it... still the same thing
what to do?

Is your iPod mounted/connected to your computer before starting ephpod?

and have you installed the drivers from the CD on your computer first?

question 1: yes
question 2: if we're talking about the iPod driver CD, yes

it was working fine yesterday and then got finnicky... occasionally ephpod will tell me I'm out of room, which I know isn't true

totally wiping Ephpod from my system, then redwnloading it and reinstalling it seemed to work

I have the same problem as timelinechick. In fact I wrote it down before seeing her post and luckily I found her problem before I stated my own. I know how it was fixed was by deleting EphPod, d/l new Ephpod and reinstalling. But if this has happened twice it could happen a thousand times and should be debugged.
Right now EphPod is not critically needed. I have some time before I decide to do anything. So is that bug going to be debugged?
BTW here are my system and program specs.
10Gb WinPod
Belkin Firewire card
EphPod 2.58
Windows XP Home

Whatever happened, I got rid of the problem. I d/l and reinstalled after uninstalling and deleting EphPod folder from my PC. The first few times I tried EphPod it still had the problem. But so far it's gone away and its error message hasn't shown its face. I guess it can't have a solution. It got no response.

Couple of things folks:

1. You don't need any of the Apple software on your Computer for ephod to work. In fact many of us recommend you not install it as it can cause problems.

2. Clicking the "Configure Ephpod" button will allow you select the drive letter that the iPod has been assigned.

Before firing up ephpod, make sure window has detected and assigned a drive letter in My Computer. Then it should find it...
