Tag trouble....
I am scratching my head with this one, but I suspect someone has dealt with it already...
Using Dr.Tag to edit mp3 tags, I've made sure each song has a genre tag.
Using Ephpod 2 to sync with my Winpod, I notice that some songs still pop up as 'tagless' during the sync, and others which sync lose their genre info. Seems to be mostly the v2 tags...
What gives?:confused:

I use Dr. Tag for all my mp3s. What I found was that when I used v1 and v2 tags I had a lot of mismatches. I changed to only v1 tags and removed the v2 tags from any files I changed. Then I had all good v1 tags and told EphPod to only use V1 tags. I had very few problems after that.
For what it's worth I remember reading somewhere that v1 tags are all you need and that v2 info isn't worth the hassle.
Except maybe for those long filenames but I never have had a real problem with those.
