Ephod 2.70 + iPod Rev 2 = CRASH
Ephod 2.70 with a new 15 gig Rev 2 i-Pod crashes Microsoft's Indexing service on Windows XP.
I've said it before, I'll say it again - Don't use Ephod if you have a new i_pod... it is not worth the headaches. Use Music Center 9.0 for now until these bugs are fixed, its a fantastic and very stable app!

Hmm... I didn't know that Ephpod would crash with NEW Ipods...very interesting...So is there going to be a new version of Ephpod out soon that addresses this issue?

I'd recommend disabling the indexing service. I ran it for about the first day of my XP install, and decided it wasn't necessary. I'm using EphPod 2.60F on a 30GB iPod via XP and an Audigy Platinum soundcard; no problems at all...

The indexing service is more important to my day to day work than my iPod is. All developers must learn to work with Microsoft's native services, the are there for a reason. In my scenario the indexing service is used for my local web site and for helping me sort through the thousands f doccuments I have saved on my computer.
Reguardless, I have turned off the indexing service to see if the Ephod problems would stop, but folder syncing still doesn't work. Also the mysterious problem with disapearing id3 tag data still exists.
Lets face it, who has been able to use the directory sync feature to sync 10 gigs worth of mp3's without a problem on a NEW iPod using Ephod? Nobody.

New 15GB iPod. ephPod wipes out all my music when I make a change. Well the music is still there but the database is obviously corrupted. The ipod sees no music. It has 2 playlists "All" and a blank.
