Tagging / Labeling...new user

I'm a new user to the IPOD.

Let me give you an example of the problem I'm experiencing in ripping "DJ" style albums. The same would apply to Soundtracks that have multiple orginial artists and tracks.

Album: Nick Warren - Back to Mine
1st Track: The Mission - Sequential

In MMJB it'll show all this information and it'll rip correctly...it'll place this track under my Nick Warren folder. However when it gets to IPOD it does not download under Nick Warren but rather under Sequential.

How do I fix this problem?

The problem probably is that you don't have the same Album value in each song.

The iPod organizes by the tag values. So, MMJB must be giving the album a tag of "sequential" when it uploads. Strange.

Anyway, what I suggest for compilation albums is to do this:

for all songs:
Album=whatever album you want to call it, it should be the same across all songs

Artist=the same across all songs

Track Name=Track Name [Artist Name]

This way it'll show up on the iPod when playing. But the album will be under one artist.
