Syncing Issue (deletes then re-copies)

Okay, I'm relatively new to this iPod stuff so still getting acustomed to how most of the software works.

So using ephpod to sync my music collection.

I find at times it likes to pick on a few songs, by everytime I sync (after making no changes) it deletes them and then re-copies them to my iPod.

Has anyone experienced this before? Does anybody know how it compares the songs in the iPod with the songs on the computer to check if they are the same/different? Just would like further insight into this.

If you require more details let me know, just wasn't sure how rare or common this was...

I remember this happening from time to time when I used to use ephpod. Don't remember exactly what the issue was, but I do seem to remember that making sure all of my songs had only id3v2 tags helped fix it.

So, try deleting the id3v1 tags from all your files. Then, wipe the iPod clean, reupload everything again. Ephod doesn't recognize tag changes, so that's the only route you can go.
