what will I lose if I switch to 1.2.6 PC?
I have a second gen 10 GB MAC ipod, using it on a pC with ephpod and I guess Macopener. This seems to work all fine, but I guess the macopener applications costs 30$ bones,
If I switch to 1.2.6 for windows and reformat the ipod to FAT32, what will I lose functionality wise on the ipod?
Will I then be able to sync just with ephpod? And no macopener?
that is my read, thanks for the tips

Besides the functionalities which iTune offers, I don't believe you will lose anything else if you switch to Windows format.
Once it is in Windows mode, you do not need Macopener to sync/use with ephpod.
