Irritating MMJB Problem with Playlists - iPod is full?

Hi all, new poster, new 15GB iPod owner on (of course) Windows.
First, I had problems with MMJB deciding that "Server Busy" at the end of a Sync, which could only be resolved through a reboot. So I wiped everything and re-installed. Now MMJB syncs ok, but not when I have playlists...

I have 5GB of music, and I've sync'd it all to the iPod just as the library - I have no playlists. Obviously, this is a pain in the butt. But as soon as I create a few playlists (an "All Music", an "All Rock", a "Just the 80s"), etc, each with a bunch of songs, MMJB claims that iPod won't have enough room, and asks if I want to just sync the files that fit. I dont' get it. 4 text files with lists of songs take up 10GB? Or is MMJB so stupid that it actually copies files twice if they're in two playlists? I haven't found a way to get playlists on the device, although they worked fine before (when I had the crash-on-sync problem).

Any tips or pointers?

Thanks in advance,
Patrick

Create your playlists with MMJB as usual but then make sure the .m3u files are sitting somewhere in the folders that you sync to the iPod.

Then get a copy of EphPod. It copies playlists just fine and *without* re-copying all the files on the playlist which is what causes MMJB the problem.

Dump MMJB for sync. I do still use it for organising and tagging (at which I think its pretty good).
