How do I copy only new music to Ipod?
I apologize if this is a repeat, but I could not find any info in the forum which addresses this.
I am new to the IPOD experience and I have already downloaded a few GB to the device. I have since ripped 10 or so new CDs to MusicMatch and now want to load those to the IPOD.
In the sparse instruction manual of the IPOD, it seems to state that everytime I sync, the existing data on the IPOD is deleted and then reloaded with the current data in MusicMatch.
Is there a way to keep from having to reload the music already on my IPOD and only add the new music?
Any info would be appreciated.

Not sure about MMJB, but if u use ephPod (which is infinatley times better than MMJB) then you can jsut choose your mucic folder, and it only adds new stuff. Which is quite handy :)

When you synch it does not delete and then readd the files. I have about 10 GB on my ipod and when I added 2 cd's to my library the synch took under 5 minutes. It does check all the files and will remove from the ipod anything that is not still in your mmjb library.
FYI- I upgraded to 7.50.5005 (it is on the musicmatch web site) from 7.50.5002a that shipped with my 30 GB ipod and now my synchs are much faster especially the preparing to synch part.

Great, thanks for the info. I assumed it was reading everything because my syncs were taking forever. I then read a post that stated having the volume leveling option turned on made the sync times much longer. Once I turned that off, the sync breezed through 9GB of info.
As for the upgrade to 7.50.5005, the new 10GB G3 I just purchased at Target had that version on the CD.
