HELP mc9 wont see player

OK, I locked that other thread, this is a better place for your issue.

First off, are you looking in the right place in MC9? You could expand the CDs, DVDs & Handheld tree. You should see the iPod drive letter in there. Is it?

If not, close out of MC9, then open My Computer, right click the iPod drive and select Properties. On the General Tab, make sure it's named "IPOD" (no quotes).

Then fire up MC9. It should be there.

If you don't even see it in My Computer, it's because of that silly iPod Manager tool. Open up iPod Manager, and make sure the you "Enable Firewire Disk Mode". There's a checkbox for it.

Then try.

Oh, the iPod will always say Do Not Disconnect when it's connected. When you're done uploading tunes you need to "unmount" it. You do this either by right-clicking the iPod in MC9 and selecting "Eject Device". Or, by clicking on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in your systray. It looks like this: .

If you do use the second option, you can do it w/MC9 still open. Just make sure you click off of the iPod before doing it (like click on Playlists or Media Library).
