MC9 Cant or Wont Upload to iPod ......
Downloaded MC9 and iPod plugin last night. Uninstalled MMJB+plugin. Installed MC9 and plugin. Formated iPod for MC9. Pulled in 2900 tracks into library. Dragged and dropped auto playlist "All Music" on to device(iPod). All songs que up. Click upload button. Small dialog box appears indicating drive letter( H: ) and large-ish red circle with an "X" on it, and that is all. Dismiss dialog box, file transfer box appears and does nothing. MC9 "not responding" end program. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Ok grasshopper, there is a better way:
Plug in your ipod, open MC9. Right click on your ipod drive in "CD, DVD and Handhelds". Choose synchronize. You'll get the synch screen with all the playlists. Expand it until you find the playlist "all music", make sure this is checked, and then hit "ok" (Not "select all") down at the bottom of the synch screen.
If that doesn't work, create a smartlist--title it "All Music" or whatever--you don't need to do anything to it, all your tunes will be there--and then synch it using the steps I outlined above.
This should get you going...

Yeah, as a rule, stay away from dragging and dropping playlists and what not. IMO, syncing is the only way to go in MC9. I think Steve has some bugs to fix w/Upload Files.
Oh, one thing to make your life easier, don't sync w/the All Music Playlist...because it will include non-supported file types (like WMA).
So, do this:
1. Create a new Smartlist, name it something you like.
2. Click the Wizard Button (it's at the top, where you can enter filter criteria, looks like a wand in .180 a "down arrow" in the 9.1 beta. It's to the left of the text "type here or click the wizard button to search"
3. On the wizard button select Add Rule>File Info>File Type. On the dialog box that comes up, check "mp3".
4. Right click the iPod under CDs/DVDs & Handhelds and select Synchronize. You'll be in business.
That'll make sure that only supported files are copied to the iPod. Now, when you get to be a pro, you can start to use the "Force File Conversion" feature which will automatically convert any non-mp3 files you have to MP3 during upload. Takes a bit longer, but it can be done. Or just convert it in MC9 and delete the old version. That can be done as well. But that's when you become a pro. ;)
