help installing software

I just got my iPod, and I'm trying to install the software on my Mac. I put the disc in, but it doesn't want to install. I double-click the disc icon, and I just get a bunch of folders. I click on the Install folder, and I get more folders. What am I doing wrong? Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I pulling my hair out! Please help!

Allow me to answer my own question: It's because my Mac is running OS 9 and not OS X (10). Sure wish I'd known this before I bought the thing. So now I've got this pretty little device that serves no function--until I can afford to upgrade my computer.new_owner at 2007-11-15 17:22:14 >

Yeah... it won't install from OS 9. If you can get it installed, it'll work with OS 9 (partially). But you need OS X to install it.eustacescrubb at 2007-11-15 17:25:19 >
