Ephpod and Audible.com

I keep reading that Ephpod is compatible with Audible files, but when I try to copy the files to the Ipod all I get is an error saying these files have not been activated on this machine. I had downloaded these in Audible Manager and they copy over using it OK. I'd just like to get to one program for everything. Any ideas what, if anything, I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

What version of Ephpod are you using?

I use 2.60f and it works perfectly for me. I'm wondering if you have a newer version and if so, an activation function was added since 2.60f.?

I just had a thought. I don't believe Ephpod 2.60f cared about the activation so I'm guessing you have the new 2.7. And if 2.7 requires validating your files, it probably needs to check with AudibleManager.

So try this. Run AudibleManager but close the Window, so you only have "A" running in the system tray. Now try transferring Audible files with Ephpod.

Let me know if that did the trick.

I'll try that when I get home, but I had the same problem with 2.60f. Kinda defeats the purpose if I have to have AM running anyway.

Nope. Doesn't work. Oh, well. i'm not going to fret over this too much. AM works OK. I may look at Media Center soon. Just to see what all the fuss is about...:)

Thanks
